Marketing & ad spend.
Connect your ad platforms and CM6 brings acquisition cost into the margin picture — so you can see contribution profit before and after marketing.
Connect your ad accounts
CM6 reads ad spend through Fivetran, which lands your platform data alongside your orders in your store's dataset.
Meta Ads
Facebook & Instagram spend, by campaign and channel.
Google Ads
Search, Shopping, and the rest of the Google network.
Bing Ads
Microsoft Advertising spend, where you run it.
Authorise each platform
Connect the ad accounts through the wizard's marketing step. Grant read access to spend data.
Let the connector sync
First sync can take a little time, and platforms have their own attribution windows — recent spend may settle over a day or two.
Confirm spend appears by channel
Open the Explorer and check spend is showing against each channel.
How spend reaches the order
CM6 allocates marketing at channel resolution — spend is attributed across the orders a channel drove, rather than guessed per click. That keeps the contribution number honest without depending on fragile per-order ad tracking.
Common issues
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Ad spend not appearing by channel | The connector isn't linked yet, or it's still syncing. Re-connect and confirm the data source has landed. |
| Spend looks low for recent days | Platform attribution windows lag — recent spend settles over a day or two. |
| Profit dropped after connecting ads | Expected — you're now seeing fully-loaded economics. Use the marketing toggle to compare with the ex-marketing view. |
